Weaving Community, Kindness, and Service... One Stitch At A Time

About Us
We are a dedicated community group focused on expressing compassion and kindness, through service. We deliver care packages to local long-term care homes, featuring our handmade and carefully selected gifts. Our mission is to provide comfort... in every stitch.
We Need Your Help
Let's Make A Difference

Fidgets

Our handmade fidget items help those with Alzheimer's and Dementia. They provide comfort, ease agitation and restlessness, and provide entertainment.

Gifts

With each donation, we try to include colouring books and pencil crayons, word search books, and personal care kits.

Bear Hugs

Our mini teddy bears are tucked into a handmade pouch, with it's own little card, to let each recipient know how much we care.

Knitter or Crocheter?

We need 18" x 18" squares, 36" X 42" lap blankets, 20" x 60" shawls, 12" x 24" rectangles, 4" x 8" rectangles, or 6" squares. For the squares and rectangles, knit two #4 strands of yarn together, or use chunky, #5 or #6 yarn. All finished pieces must be tightly woven as they create bases for our fidget items. Looking for smaller items to donate? We need crochet flowers, curly cues and tissue packs too!

Donate Items

If you don't knit, crochet, sew or quilt, but would like to help our cause, we gratefully accept donations of colouring books, pencil crayons, word search and Suduko books, slippers, and non-slip socks to include in our monthly care packages. All items must be new. If you would like to donate other personal care items, please email us for details.

Quilter or Sewer?

We would love your lap quilts, walker or wheelchair totes, pocket tissue holders, eyeglass cases, zippered pouches and quilted bases for our fidget mats. Lap blankets should be 36 x 42 inches, and fidget bases should be 18 x 18. There are many free patterns for these items online, but if you have questions, please email us.

Request
If you would like to add a long-term care home in York Region or South Simcoe to our wait list, for a future donation, please email us your request.

If you know someone with Alzheimer's or Dementia, and would like to request one of our fidget items, please email us. They are always free, and it would be our pleasure to gift one to someone in need.
